Famous Quotes – Typos for Famous Quotes

How many ways can people spell famous quotes wrong?

It is just amazing. There are many more variations but these are the most common according to stats and log files.

There used to be a list of various Famous Quotes typos and mis-spellings here.

I myself mis-type the word quotes all the time as

” q – u – t – o – e – s ”

There were 74 different ways to spell famous quotes improperly on the list here. We thought these improper spellings (mis-spellings) were kind of funny and listed them here after grabbing them out of our log files from many years of statistics on multiple quotes sites and on our Famous Quotes Search Engine.

Apparently some search engines hate that and do not like or approve of the listing of missspelt words and typos (typographical errors) so we have removed the list and suggest that if you are having trouble with spelling or typing that you get some help. There are plenty of resources for teaching spelling out there on the Internet.

Thank you and sorry that the search engines are so stupid – this is not the only flawed policy they have. We could write for weeks on that topic. We thought the list was kind of amusing.

Imagine, 74 different ways to spell something wrong, and every one of them actually happened.

Some time ago I saw a proverb on another website that I loved and it’s really beautiful and I realized that you still don’t have in yours, so I’m sending to you in the case you want to publish it.

“In life we all have an unspeakable secret, an irreversible regret, an unreachable dream and an unforgettable love.”
    Author: Diego Marchi

    Congratulations for the great job!

  3. I take care of a very sick man and he gives me a quote every daythat say how do I love thee, how do I cout my way I need the author.

  4. Hi Judy,

Is it “How do I love thee, Let me count the ways?”

If so, then that is from Sonnets from the Portuguese Sonnet 43 by Elizabeth Barrett Browning

XLIII. “How do I love thee? Let me count the ways…”
    by Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806-1861)

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday’s
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
    I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, — I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! — and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
